REVEALED! APC Plots To Arrest, Detain Governor’s Aide
The evil plot by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in connivance with the Nigeria Police and other security agents in Akwa Ibom State, to frame up, arrest, and detain the Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Mr. Sylvester Polycarp, on the eve of the forthcoming general elections, has been exposed.
The revelation came from a security source who hinted Mr. Polycarp that the APC has perfected plans with the police and other security agencies in the state to arrest and keep him out of circulation throughout the election on flimsy charges ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder.
This evil plot against Mr Polycarp was conceived by the leadership of APC in Nsit Atai in their desperate bid to cage any opponent they believe will give them tough time during the elections.
According to the source, the idea is to ensure that Polycarp, when arrested, is charged to a court where he would be denied bail, and subsequently hauled into prison custody to ensure his nonparticipation during the February 16th and March 2nd elections.
Having been properly detailed about this evil plot, Mr. Polycarp has instructed his lawyer who wrote to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and copied other security agencies in the state about the evil agenda by the APC in Akwa Ibom to frame him up for arrest and detention.
In a letter of appeal for IGP’s intervention submitted on 11th February 2019, Polycarp urged the police boss to call his men to order, and stop being used by unscrupulous politicians to cause problem in the state.
Meanwhile, Mr. Polycarp has challenged the APC in Nsit Atai to come clean and test their popularity at the polls, and stop resorting to police intimidation on PDP members in Nsit Atai and the state in general.
He vowed not to succumb to any harassment or intimidation by anybody who feels threatened by the election.
Mr. Polycarp further called on the state director, Department of State Security Service (DSS), AIG zone 6 Calabar, the chairman of Human Right Commission, Abuja and the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police to intervene and bring to book all those behind the sham ploy to arrest and detain him.
