The passion to further reach out to the vulnerable in the interior parts of the state has taken Governor Udom Emmanuel‘s Divine Mandate Community Service to Ibeno Local Government Area.
It was a pleasant surprise as residents and indigenes of the coastal community were treated to sumptuous packages through food items from the state governor to their doorsteps.
The distribution of food support which was carried out in the area by The Divine Mandate community service was conducted by the Governor through his aides, Mr. Essien Ndueso, Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Research & Documentation and his Media counterpart, Rev. Richard Peters.
The Divine Mandate Community Service has been reaching out to the less privileged in rural communities since 2015.
In the course of the distribution, the duo enlightened people of the area on the need to observe preventive measures against the global pandemic – COVID-19, adding that the lockdown was needful to curtail the spread, and momentary.
They stated that the State Governor, through the Divine Mandate community service, had directed the distribution of food items to them courtesy of his passion and care to ease their inconveniences while the lockdown lasts.
“This is obviously not enough for you, but it comes from a heart of a Governor that truly loves the state and is eager to end the lockdown as soon as possible.
“Your role in speedily stopping the spread of the disease is by staying indoors, observing social distancing, avoiding crowded places and promptly reporting suspected cases to the State COVID-19 Response Team”, the Governor aide added.
Responding separately, the people thanked the governor for his love and prayed God to endow him with more wisdom and strength to stir the State successfully through the prevalent hard times.
