As part of his commitment to boost the entrepreneurial sector of the economy, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, has set out modalities to create more strategic business alliance with investors.
This is to further widen the business horizon of the state for the benefit of the people as encapsulated in the Completion Agenda of his administration.
The Commissioner for Information, Sir Charles Udoh, hinted this on Wednesday during a courtesy call on him by management staff of XL Radio 106 FM, Uyo.
He said numerous opportunities abound for the teeming youths and other interested people of the state, adding that Governor Emmanuel will continue to encourage more strategic business alliance with investors in the state.
Sir Udoh commended XL Radio 106FM for the awareness created so far on business opportunities which abound in the state, urging them and other media practitioners in the state to always see themselves as dependable partners and stakeholders in the development of the state.
Udoh cautioned them against political sentiments in their professional practice, reiterating that any political maneuvering in their reportage is capable of destroying the good intentions of government for the people and breed disaffection against the government.
The Information Boss solicited the continued mutual relationship and strategic partnership with the Governor Emmanuel-led government by media organizations, and urged them not to relent in their contributions to the development of the state.
In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of XL radio 106FM, Mr. Utibe Ukim, lauded the Commissioner for making a difference in information management, reiterating that his ingenuity has enhanced sensitization of government policies, activities and programmes.
He assured the State spokesman of the organization’s readiness to partner the government to ensure that Akwa Ibom people rise to the challenges of the 21st century business world.
