It is no longer news that the Akwa Ibom State Government, under the leadership of Mr Udom Emmanuel had set up the Ibom Air, the first State-owned flight service in Nigeria.

After being delayed for some months for its operational take off, Ibom Air is set to begin flight operations as two, out of the three aircrafts acquired, is billed to arrive the Victor Attah International Airport tomorrow, Wednesday, 20th February 2019 for the official Inauguration.

This disclosure was made by Governor Udom Emmanuel during a consultation visit to former Governor Victor Attah at his Shelter Afrique residence in Uyo.

Governor Udom noted that the aircrafts which will soon commence commercial activities to Lagos and Abuja, have arrived Lagos for necessary clearance from the nation’s air authorities, adding that the third aircraft is expected to arrive in few days.

Arc.  Attah, in his response, scored Governor Emmanuel high for instituting sound economic blueprint that would fast track the development of Akwa Ibom State.

He lauded Governor Emmanuel for his sense of enterprise in the commencement of Ibom Airlines flight operations, the Ibom Deep Seaport, industrial city among others, and expressed delight at the synergy in vision.

The inauguration of Ibom Air takes place by noon at the Victor Attah International Airport.
