Governor Udom To Site Africa’s First Technology Acquisition Centre In Ibiono
…ASSURES COMPLETION OF USE IKOT AMAMA, OTHER ROADS

He made the announcement on Friday during a campaign rally for his second term held at the Ibiono Ibom Council Secretariat, Oko Ita.
Governor Emmanuel disclosed that South African School for Artisan Skill Development has indicated interest to partner with the state government for the proposed acquisition center in Ikot Ada Idem, Ibiono Ibom LGA.
He stated that the project, which was captured in his blueprint, would have commenced before now but the government had to take time in selecting the best technical partners to give not just a technical school that would only teach the students laws and business method, but a proper skill acquisition center that would train the people to be entrepreneurs and self employed.
The Governor further disclosed that the project were two in number, one in Ikot Akata and the other in Ikot Ada Idem, and that ExxonMobil has taken and started designing that of Ikot Akata.
He said the government wanted to give that of Ikot Ada Idem to an American or a proper German technical school that would deliver up to standard, assuring the people that the project is first in his priorities, as he is kin to providing Ikot Ada Idem with one of the best skill acquisition centers in Nigeria.
The State Executive also approved the immediate release of welfare packages due for teachers of Union Secondary School, a community school which was taken over by government.
He promised to immortalize late Cardinal Dominic Ignatius Ekandem and construct the road leading to his village, for his remarkable contributions particularly in the state and country at large.

Governor Emmanuel also assured the people of Ibiono Ibom that the much mouthed Use Ikot Amama Road which became an anthem in the immediate past administration without commensurate result, will be constructed and dualized as well as the ongoing Ikot Ikpanya Road project.
The visibly elated crowd poured encomiums on the Governor for his life touching projects in the area and political inclusiveness of Ibiono Ibom people in different government parastatals.
Chairman of Ibiono Ibom chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Emmanuel Etim, in his goodwill message, stated that the mammoth crowd was a demonstration of the love the people have for the Governor.
He added that the many things Governor Emmanuel has done for them ranging from political inclusiveness and road networks across the area among others, have campaigned for him already.
Those who also spoke in their separate goodwill messages include the Senator representing Uyo Federal Constituency, Obong Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA); member representing Itu/Ibiono State Constituency, Rt Hon Henry Archibong; and member representing Ibibio Ibom at the State House of Assembly, Barr. Ime Okon
Others are former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Engr Ignatius Edet; Council Chairman, Rt Hon Ekomabasi Akpan; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Matters, Comr Aniefiok Iwaudofia; Elder Ntienyong Inyang, and Obonganwan Christy Akpan, assuring Governor Emmanuel and all PDP candidates of 100 percent votes in the forthcoming general elections.
On his part, Chief Eyibio Okon, who led over 750 APC supporters to PDP, stressed that if no one else sees the good works of the Governor, he has seen it especially the construction of the Paramount Ruler’s road and other ongoing projects in the area.
