The greed of ONE man has cost Akwa Ibom its place in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the current MD, Nsima Ekere, and appoints Prof Nelson Braimbraifa to take over with immediate effect.

Also affected by the sack is the Akwa Ibom state Commissioner Samuel Frank, the chairman of Board, Victor Ndoma Egba and all members of the board.

President Buhari approved the appointment of Prof Nelson Braimbraifa as acting Managing Director for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on Friday.

The President, following a Federal Executive Council (FEC) resolution, has equally vested the supervisory role of the commission in the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, as well as approved the dissolution of the extant board.

Also appointed as Acting Executive Director (Finance and Administration) of NDDC is Mr Chris Amadi, while Engineer Samuel Adjogbe becomes the Acting Executive Director (Projects).

The above appointments take immediate effect.

Nsima’s sack followed series of petitions  bothering mismanagement of public in the commission.
