The third edition of #ArtMostSphere – Nigeria’s biggest search for unsigned acts, lighted up the capital city of Uyo on Friday, January 4, 2018, as the first best show to usher in the new entertainment year in Akwa Ibom State.
From the entries of 21 DJs and 15 Open Mic Contestants, this year’s edition of the event happened to be more exciting and intriguing, with a richer collection of talents and display of creative ingenuity.
The concert, as confirmed by guests, did not just entertain, but offered a platform for talents to slug it out with their contemporaries in the quest for fame and stardom.
The panel of judges made up of veteran broadcaster, Chris Archibong of Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CBRC), legendary music producer, Lemmy Jackson, and Inspiration FM’s popular OAP, KeKe, scored contestants based on their vocal quality, delivery and international acceptability.
Amongst the 13 entries shortlisted, Draqq came out top in the Open Mic category, beating other promising music talents to win a one-year management deal including sponsorship of audio and video production.
DJ AJ, DJ Bright and DJ Spartilla emerged in that order, in the DJ Battle category, the winner, DJ AJ, walked home with a brand new Pioneer DJ Controller.
ArtMostSphere is wholly a private sector initiative, providing unsigned artistes and DJs a rare opportunity to compete, receive music industry feedback, develop and grow to be one of Nigeria’s best on the mic and wheels of steel.
Inspired by DAKKADA and powered by SIGNATA MULTIMEDIA, ArtMostSphere is an initiative of veteran Disc Jockey turn Governor’s aide, Dollie Popman, to discover local talents with international potentials and offer them the needed push to limelight.
