Uyo Residents To Get Free Petrol, Kerosene, Food Bank

Residents of Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, are in high spirit to receive free fuel, Kerosene, air freshener, food bank, free Car Wash services, among others from supporters of the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
The free distribution exercise which is in partnership with a Non-profit organization; Free Car Wash Campaign Group, will take place on Saturday, 24th November, 2018 at two locations; Mobil Filling Station, opposite Uyo High school, Oron Road, Uyo as well as Pirana Filling Station, Nwaniba Road before Adiaha Obong Secondary School.
Speaking with newsmen in Uyo, the Coordinator, Mr Portrait Peterson, while thanking the State Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, for sponsoring the exercise, explained that residents will be allowed to choose items to receive.
He stressed he had no doubt over Governor Emmanuel’s return to office in 2019 given his impressive development stride and leadership disposition.
Peterson informed that the distribution exercise will be preceded by an awareness campaign on “why every Akwa Ibomite should safeguard his or her PVC and make sure they don’t sell or lose it”.
His words: “We want to encourage eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) so that they can exercise their civic responsibility during the forthcoming general elections”.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 27th November, will be the turn for Ikot Ekpene and Grand Finalé; Eket Senatorial District on Friday, 30th November, 2018.
