The President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki, has announced his  defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He made the announcement on his twitter handle on Tuesday.

“I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Similarly, the National Publicity Secretary and Spokesman of the APC, Bolaji Abdullahi, as well as Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, also quit the APC for PDP.
