The Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), Prince Enobong Uwah, has disclosed that Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel and other prominent Nigerians would be on ground to grace the Constituency Briefing/Empowerment Programme of Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert (OBA), which holds at the Uyo Township Stadium on Friday, April 20th, 2018.
Prince Uwah, who is the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the event, dropped the hint while fielding questions from newsmen on what lies in stock for the people of Uyo Senatorial District.
According to him, Senator Albert, who represents Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo) Senatorial District in the National Assembly (Senate), will not only cease the opportunity to appreciate the tremendous goodwill he has enjoyed from his constituents and empower them, but also register the irreversible and total support of Uyo Senatorial District for the second term bid of Governor Emmanuel.
Prince Uwah said, Senator Albert is set for a record breaking rendition of his scorecard and progress report in the National Assembly and will give account of his stewardship to the people by commissioning several constituency projects initiated and completed by him including roads, market stalls and other interventions in the Senate chambers, during plenary, or through oversight functions, as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Oil and Gas.
He noted that the event will attract top government functionaries, captains of industries and political leaders across the nation and will be a major milestone for Uyo Senatorial District.
Prince Uwah charged the people to turn out in their numbers, to again, reiterate and reinforce their support for Governor Emmanuel, Senator Albert and the Peoples Democratic Party, which he said, offered the platform for the credible leaders, who are people oriented to emerge, adding that only PDP members are reporting back to the people, which significantly proves that integrity and service is ingrained in the party.
On the Empowerment packages in store for the people, Prince Uwah said, it is going to be unprecedented in the Senatorial District and charged the people to brace up for the history making event.
