MPG Shares Love With Ibom Plaza Community

As part of its mission to promote the good governance posture of Governor Udom Emmanuel – administration, a socio political group, Mandate Preservation Group (MPG), has taken the message of love to the Ibom Plaza Community in Uyo the state capital.
The group stormed the city center with assorted gifts, food, drinks and cash to share the good news of progress with the leisure park occupants.
Setting the tone for the occasion, the National Coordinator of the group and immediate past Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Barr Mfon Ben, noted that the event was to bring the goodwill of the Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel closer to the grassroots.
He commended the participants who were mainly traders and customers at the Ibom Plaza for identifying with the activities and programmes of the government.
Barr Mfon used the occasion to sensitise the people on the need to take full participation in the ongoing permanent voters card registration so that they can be eligible to vote during the 2019 general elections.
He also charged them to shun all societal vices that are culpable of causing breach of peace within the Plaza community and the state at large.
Also speaking at the event which featured distribution of gift items ranging from wrappers, cash, rice (both cooked and raw) and other packages, were the Board of Trustees members, Mr Emem Bob, and Etubom David Jackson.
Highpoints of the event included competitions on Dakkada creed recitation, naming of some projects of the governor and locations (executed and ongoing), dance competition and song composition competition where winners received star prices and participants went home with consolidation prices.
The event also had in attendance the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr Sam Edoho; Special Assistants to the Governor on Media, Mr Essien Ndueso and Uwemedimoh Umanah, and their counterpart in Grassroots Reorientation, Mr Joseph Okon.
