Gov Emmanuel Visits Family Of Drowned 7-Year Old Boy
The People-oriented Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel soon on arrival from an official trip outside the state, drove straight to the bereaved family of the late 7 year-old boy, Jeremiah Alphonsus, who drowned on Saturday in a gutter at Akwa Efak by Nsikak Eduok Avenue.
The sympathetic Governor who commiserated with the bereaved father of the deceased, Mr. Ukeme Alphonsus Edet, said the mishap was an accident though very sad and regrettable.
He urged construction companies handling construction work at the site of the mishap, especially Julius Berger, to always cordon-off project site to avoid accident by pedestrians.
While explaining his ordeal to the Governor, the bereaved father, Mr. Ukeme Alphonsus Edet, said he is still in shock over the incident but expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for the prompt visit to him at his residence and prayed God to bless Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Gov Emmanuel who was led to the bereaved family by the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mr Charles Udoh, had in his entourage, the SSG, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem and other members of the state Executive Council.
