A 300-level Library and Information Science student of the University of Uyo (Uniuyo), Miss Blessing Emah, has aspired to rise to the standard of the Nigerian billionaire and owner of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote.
She made the declaration on Thursday while sharing her Dakkada story with the Chairman, Akwa Ibom Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS), Hon. Okon E. Okon, in his office, Uyo.
Through her doggedness and spirited effort, Blessing admired the Dakkada philosophy by developing the Ekpang Nkukwo flour, which has effectively reduced the procedures and time it takes to prepare Ekpang Nkukwo meal from about 7-8 hours to less than an hour or minutes.
According to her, after going through the Dakkada creed, she fell in love with the line that says ‘Arise to the faith of greatness’ and determined that she could make it in life despite the demise of her both parents at a tender age.
As always said by Gov Emmanuel that when the spirit is right, nothing is impossible, Blessing heeded the clarion call of Dakkada, and presently, she is an employer of labour, thereby reducing the rate of unemployment in the state.
This is in line with the Governor’s vision create job opportunities and bring unemployment to its barest minimal as encapsulated in five-point agenda.
The Directorate of Dakkada headed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr Sam Edoho, who accompanied the young entrepreneur, stated that Dakkada promotes the spirit of enterprise, creativity, innovation, integrity and excellence.
He said Gov Emmanuel is building a lot of Akwa Ibom youths in different areas and enterprises who are telling their success stories every day.
The AKIRS Chairman, Hon Okon, commended Blessing Emah for the vision to rise above her present circumstance as an orphan, and pledged reiterated his interest in the business.
He described Governor Emmanuel as a visionary, dynamic and pragmatic leader of our time, who, coming from a private sector environment, is filled with the spirit of enterprise, saying that enterprise encapsulates the power of imagination, innovation, creativity and making money from nothing.
Ekpang Nkukwo meal is a signature product of Food Slot NG because of its significance in Akwa Ibom delicacies. About 10 flours are also produced including Banana flour for Oto Mboro, Plantain flour, Yellow corn flour for Asa Akpakpa and others.
