What I Want To Be Remembered For –Emem Ibanga

The Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Council, Hon. Emem Ibanga, has said that she would be remembered as a history maker in the area after leaving office.
Emem Ibanga stated this during a media chat with pressmen in Uyo over the weekend. She said she would like to be remembered for many good things, especially as a woman whom God brought to open the door of politics for other women to benefit, a woman who brought different factions together as well as a woman who brought peace to Nsit Atai Local Government Area.
Hon. Emem Ibanga, who is the first female Executive Chairman Nsit Atai LGA has ever produced, said she has recorded a lot of achievements in the area since she assumed office as the Chairman, adding that thou it wasn’t easy when she started her aspiration, but by the grace of God she emerged winner against all odds.
The council boss listed some of her achievements within 100 days in office to include; restoration of electricity in the council and repair of generating set at the secretariat, grading of roads and donation of drugs and facilities to all the ten health centres in the area.
Others achievements are; presentation of Christmas package to all council staff, donation of wrappers to women, repairs of office block destroyed by damaged telecommunication mast cited at the council premises, sponsored Nsit Atai contingents to the second Akwa Ibom State Youth Sports Festival as well as donation of cash to the PDP officers in the area.
While maintaining that she is a council boss that would always embrace people, Hon. Ibanga hinted that she has concluded plans to host children to a first interparty celebration which will help in uniting the children irrespective of the political affiliations of their parents.
She thanked the people of Nsit Atai for supporting her during and after elections. The first female Executive Chairman used the opportunity to assured the people of the area that better things are coming in the future and that the people of Nsit Atai people will enjoy her administration.
