Hon. Mark Esset: A Point Of Reference
By Cosmas Okon Esq.
It is no more news that the political arena in Nsit Atai since the emergence of Rt. Hon. Mark Esset has been remarkably and massively impacted positively with what can best be described as post generational impacts. Rt. Hon. Mark Esset is a quintessential, magnanimous, brave, humane, diligent, adept and accountable lawmaker.
Without mincing words, he is a compound name in Akwa Ibom politics and this reputation automatically waves the nugget task of introducing this man with proven integrity and character who in his prime has delivered his mandate phenomenally.
Rt. Hon. Mark Esset has not only done well but uplifted the living standards of many constituents. For the records; at ab initio, House of assembly stewardship in Nsit Atai was more of a daylight mockery of the electorates based on the “all for me” attitude of previous representatives and the new order is what can be better described as all inclusive leadership style of Rt. Hon Mark Esset anchored on trust, compassion and accountability.
In justification of the above premise, it is worth of note that it is in his reign that the area has witnessed massive, passionate and selfless representation through empowerment like never before and a show of readiness to at every instance to carry constituents along.
Expectedly, the people of Nsit Atai are praying for him having seen that in practical terms, he has delivered beyond expectations and unlike a typical politician that believes in propaganda, he continues on his achievements quietly, impacts being his driving force and it gladdens me to say that his rising profile has spurred his competitors to get to work rather than engaging in propaganda and fake publicity.
Nsit Atai is blessed with this great son who has become a phenomenon and his second term bid does not negate the zoning principle in any way. I have seen this well scripted document and it only said it will be the turn of Ibedu AFTER Ibiaikot. It did not in any way stop a second term bid. Of course doing so will be anti progress and anti development for Nsit Atai. Rt. Hon Mark Esset is a respecter of agreements and we cannot afford to jettison effective representation on zoning, moreso when his representation has brought Nsit Atai to the limelight and his second term in the House of Assembly will do more. We need more of his passion and commitment to the Nsit Atai project.
I join many of his teaming supporters, well wishers, friends and even enemies to celebrate him as the people of Eastern Nsit Ward 4 having recognized his doggedness have chosen to Honour him today. I wish him well as he continues to do more for my fatherland.
Rt. Hon Mark Esset, You are a good man. You will always have my support.
