Akpabio Silences Political Jobbers Over Alleged Feud With Udom
The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed an alleged rift between him and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, describing such claim as imaginary and mischievous.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Special Assistant on Media to Senator Akpabio, Anietie Ekong, the former Governor was satisfied with the performance of Governor Emmanuel, and that he cannot be engaged in a feud with an administration that Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District played a significant role on its emergence.
Senator Akpabio who also applauded the Governor for his efforts which led to the killing of notorious militant from Ukanafun, Akaninyene Jumbo (Iso Akpafit), maintained that political jobbers merely feasted on comments he made while addressing stakeholders at the deputy governor’s end of year parley.
“What the Senator said was that their House should be put in order so that the votes from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District would be put intact for Governor Emmanuel in the next election.
This position by Senator Akpabio, it is believed, will finaly seal the lips of the doubting thomases.
