Four Points By Sheraton Begins Operation
…Ikot Ekpene Road To Be Commissioned May Next Year
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, has again assured the people of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area that the Four Point By Sheraton will commence operarion in December 2017, while the Ikot Ekpene highway will be commissioned in May 2018.
The Governor said this during the Youth Solidarity rally in support of his second term bid.
Governor Emmanuel, who was represented by the Honourable Commssioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyangeyen, said he remains committed to ensuring even distribution of democracy dividends to all sections in the State, maintaining that he will never marginalize any part of the state.
“I stand here to assure you that Four Point by Sheraton will commence operation fully December 2017, and as we have completed payment of compensation on the remaining portion of Ikot Ekpene Road, construction has commenced and, the road will be commissioned come May 2018.
On the rumours of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s alleged conflict with the Senate Minority Leader, Chief Godswill Akpabio CON, the Governor posited that, those praying for such a good quarrel will have to wait till eternity.
“Governor Udom is a Christian who will never reward good with evil and in every team, there is first eleven and in the leadership of Nigeria, Akpabio is among the first eleven. So I stand here to endorse Senator Godswill Akpabio for second term and I want all the people in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to support him.”
Others who spoke at Youth Rally was Engr Etido Inyang who represented the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who assured Governor Emmanuel that the people of Ikot Ekpene will support his second term come 2019 and beyond.
He also advised the Youth to support the current peace in the Area, stressing that it is only through Peace that more investments will be attracted to the locality.
The Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on youth matters, Mr Aniefiok Ewudofia, urge the youths of Ikot Ekpene to continue to support the Governor who he said has done well for the Youths in terms of empowerment.
Speaking on behalf of the Youth of Ikot Ekpene Local Government, Mr Leo Leo Umanah endorsed Governor Udom Emmanuel for a second term.
Others who spoke at the occassion were Elder Ben Udobia and Idongesit Ntekpere, Member representing Ikot Ekpene-Obot Akara State Constituency.
