Akwa United Won Through Hard Work –Info Boss

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh, has commended Akwa United players for the 3-2 victory against Niger Tornadoes in AITEO cup final in Lagos last weekend.
The commissioner gave the commendation while receiving the victorious players at the Ibom International Airport on Tuesday.
Mr. Udoh, who noted the resilience of the players, recalled that three years back, Akwa United was a struggling team.
According to him, the success of the Uyo club side can be attributed to the leadership and profound support of the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, who has spared no effort in promoting Youth and Sports development in the state.
He acknowledged that Akwa United victory was through hardworking not by accident, and thanked Akwa Ibom people for their continued support for the team.
The Information Boss noted that Akwa Ibom State has one of the best sporting facilities in Nigeria as youths in the state can compete favourably with her counterparts anywhere in the world.
Mr. Udoh used the occasion to highlight some of the developmental strides of the Udom-led administration including the Syringe Factory which is the largest in Africa, saying that Akwa Ibom State is well endowed in infrastructural development, industrialization and agriculture.
Speaking on the Ibom Angels FA Cup finals in Jos, Mr. Udoh wished the players well. In his words “God on their side, victory is certain”.
