Amidst cheers and echoes of praises on him, the Governor waved and smiled back at the excited traders who showed that they have enough reasons to appreciate their Governor.

On his way from the market, the Governor also stopped by at the popular city recreational center, Ibom Plaza, to assess the challenges of the centre.
Mr Emmanuel said the visit became necessary to check why the electronic board there was no more working and how to make the place serve optimally even during the rains.
He commended the youths in the state for being peaceful and supportive of his administration and promised to continue to provide them with social security.
He used the visits to reassure Akwa Ibom people that his administration will continue to deliver on impactful projects such as witnessed in the electricity which is 23 hours in Uyo and other parts of the State. He promised to extend the gesture to more Local Government Areas before his administration clocks three.
“We are a very responsible government; some people only define democracy from textbooks but we are practical. We are never interested in applause; we don’t do white elephant projects. What we do is touch lives,” the Governor stated.
