Nsima Ekere’s Thanksgiving: A Display And Climax Of Petitness
…ORGANISES AN HYPOCRITICAL “THANKSGIVING SERVICE”
Sunday, July 23, 2017, will remain one date, day and month that has recorded a low value accord to the managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere.
What he seemingly thought, conceptualised and drafted to score a cheap political goal ended up in him shooting his trembling foot and crawling knee ahead his perpetual gubernatorial aspiration in 2019.
He Nicodemusly purchased a chieftaincy title on Saturday, 22 July, 2017, eve of the lowly recorded ‘thanksgiving service’ organised in a similarly manner he horridly put a sham, scam and hypocritical prayer summit for ailing President Buhari, where those he deceived and hired to grace the occasion till date have not been given a stipend for transportation, logistics and mobilisation as the case may be. That is a story for another day, and this is a character of a man projecting himself to be a governor in 2019.
It is to me absolutely difficult to appreciate why a no-do-well former deputy governor is addressed as ‘His Excellency’ and a sitting governor, far more credible in all ramifications than this self-seeking king, is addressed without such courtesies. On his thanksgiving programme of the event in which he vetted through, Nsima cannot justify that he didn’t see the mess the devilish planning committee connived with him to smear the image of a sitting Governor. He should have raised concern as the pettiness was captured in the programme of his event.
What then was he thanking God for? Thanking God in disrespect of his Governor…? This is indeed a cup full of mischief and a deep calculated image slight. This makes him petulant, petty and less worthy of a position he has been canvassing for perpetually. How then will he desire to be governor when he can’t show simple respect to the one that governs him? Whoever gave him this terrible suggestion meant him no well.
With this singular display of a nursery school pupil who is just learning the ropes of his nursery rhymes, Nsima turned his thanksgiving into a hate feast, refuses bluntly, intentionally and envious to address his Governor, Udom Emmanuel, as His Excellency. When will Nsima’s pettiness stop? This sure is a divine incursion of a curse why he will NEVER be nor smell the seat of a Governor. “For refusing to recognise, respect and accord Governor Udom Emmanuel his utmost respect and honour, God is indeed angry with Nsima Ekere,” a renowned Prophet predicts.
Every sitting Governor has an official portrait, so why use such a demeaning picture of your Governor and presenting him in a tired and casual mood and put out yourself in a dignified and glorifying robe. Imagine Nsima, he is revered as His Excellency, Sir, KJW, while his Governor is not even fit to be dashed a Mister.
A closer look at the programme of the event page in page out reveals several guests, ministers of the Gospel and invited dignitaries were given their due titles and prefix of introduction. So why was the Governor’s own title clearly omitted?
Common! This was too petty an adventure. To whom failure and defeat stirs on the face, acts as such perpetrated by Nsima and his cohorts, is their trademark. Let him come out with a defence of this childish action and let’s hear him stutter lies.
It’s quite simple and straight to the point, since Nsima cannot accord his Governor his due value, respect and honour, he too is not worth an iota of respect. Respect, we all are aware of from time long standing, is reciprocal. Even when he purportedly designed his demonic programme of self-exaltation and empty pride and covering it up as thanksgiving, this misadventure and gross disrespect for the office of his Governor which he has struggled long to be, clearly exposes his inadequacies and vainness in leadership. Whom the gods have destined for punishment, they first of all make them jump mad. What an inglorious attitude towards God in disguise of praise.
Nsima thought he was embarrassing Governor Udom Emmanuel but he has ended up throwing hard punches on his smeared face. We cannot sit on the fence and watch him derail to hell. It is about time to caution him to grow up.
