Nsima Ekere And His Titanic Voyage
“Whom the gods are willing to punish, they first of all set them on a mad marathon!”
Like the foresight of an ostrich, numerous of our sons and daughters who by divine grace and any means whatsoever have risen to great heights, see themselves derailing, loosing bearing and tilting towards application of politics and allowing their constitutional obligation to suffer on the sheer altar of greed, self-ego and undignifying praise singers (sycophants) who sing and chorus them into their tragic end. Of all cases abound in their know, no one seems to take any precaution. They’re like, that’s the fate of such a person not mine, forgetting we all must strive to play out as a living guide.
The “prominent promoters” who believe that unless they use Obong Nsima Ekere as a platform to insult the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, are not even helping him in no format. Instead of concentrating on redeeming an already crumbled personality and his titanic image, are destroying him earlier than expected even before the perpetual guber aspirant struggle to survive ahead 2019.
A lot of us are all too familiar with the boasting, media bliss, propaganda, ear-breaking publicity stunts, branding and all noise about TITANIC ship that was said to be the safest man made vessel that can never sink.
Those onboard, the inventors and sailors took on a celebrated voyage, taking only into consideration their familiar thoughts patterns, without thinking of other handicaps along the routes or caution of the unforeseen. An oversight too costly for comfort, simply because they were blinded by misplaced assurances of the ship builders false confidence and hope on a decayed wood. The same air of confidence Nsima is gathering because of light feathered hustlers who cluster in political cloak to be given peanut and non-existing NDDC contracts.
Their publicity stunts about the ship lured people to join the trip, but TITANIC ended up sunk, the biggest disaster then. Quite pathetic and significantly, it was ordinary boats that came to rescue some parts of the wrecked ship (TITANIC) survivors simply displaying the supremacy of God over the over-confident nature of mere human. If God be for Udom Emmanuel, who then can be against him?
A few jobless skunks are heading the loose team boasting about another titanic called Nsima Ekere, and the sad story is that each time they insult the Governor, instead of panel-beating Ekere’s image to match even his REAL APC’s contenders, they are destroying him already in the dockyard even before his assured failed adventure, voyage and trip.
It’s quite glaring the way Nsima is going that the NDDC boss will crash at the APC primaries the way he is built falsely on ground. He is in the tradition of failing at this stage since his sojourn in politics because he possesses a familiar pattern and style of noise making before finally sinking which has been an existing trademark and has not changed even now.
NDDC monies should be used for what it is meant for, which is to develop a state like ours, to compliment the wonderful impacts of Gov Udom Emmanuel under this biting recession and not to waste intervention funds on opening campaign offices at NDDC. There is still a long time to 2019.
Worst hit by the Nsima all means titanic adventure, are decampees from PDP now in APC, compromising the originating interest of the APC aborigines of the party because of the financial inducement from Nsima. I get baffled, amused and wonder talk about his strength acceptability and popularity.
Let it be known that Obong Nsima Ekere did not vote in 2015 even in his village. I challenge him to bring his result sheet of the last election. Let Nsima realise today that opposition politicking is different from looting and laundering money through various cronies, fronts and opening a campaign office ahead 2019 with NDDC resources instead of developing the Niger Delta. It’s very few people who can stand the heat.
For us, we believe, stand and support Mr Emmanuel on his sustainable development drive, since May 29, 2015. So when they are busy mouthing all incendiary rhetoric of their stillborn victory in 2019, Gov Udom Emmanuel’s zeal, quest and umpteenth passion drive is fast drowning out the claptrap of naysayers, making them look stupid and supine in the court of public opinion.
