There are indications that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari will not fly in doctors from London for his medical check-ups but will return to London for medical checkup.
This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in Abuja while reacting to reports that Buhari had plans to fly his doctors into the country today, saying that the president will return to London where he spent his 49-day medical vacation for check-up.
“The last time the president spoke about this (medical trip), he said he would return to his doctors after some time,” Shehu said.
“We are not aware that this has changed. We are not aware of the reported advance movements.”
The presidential spokesman did not specify when Buhari will continue his medical vacation.
President Buhari had shortly on returning to the country on March 10, revealed that he would be returning to London for check-ups.
“There may be need to have further follow-ups within some weeks,” he had said.
