BREAKING NEWS: Commissioner Slumps, Dies While Jogging
The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Plateau, Mr Samuel Galadima, has slumped and died early Wednesday, March 22 while jogging with Governor Simon Lalong.
The incident , which was confirmed by the director of press affairs, Mr Emmanuel Nanle, happened at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
“Yes, the commissioner slumped while jogging and was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where he died,” Nanle said, adding that the commissioner was gasping for breath by the time he arrived the hospital.
“Doctors tried to stabilise him but could not. We have lost him,” the News Agency of Nigeria quoted him.

The director, who described the development as unfortunate and painful, recalled that in February, Governor Simon Lalong’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Yusuf Hawaja, died, six days later, his mother, Hajiya Habiba, also died.
A few weeks later, the Chief Administrative Officer in the Government House, Rayfield, Jos, Mr Pius Dashe, also died. And now Galadima has followed. He therefore called for serious prayers for the state government.
The cause of Galadima’s death is however not yet ascertained.
