Governor Emmanuel, accompanied to the prayer session by his Deputy, Mr Moses Ekpo, both members of the National Assembly, House of Assembly, State Executive Council, senior aides to the Governor, Party Executives and senior, testified to the grace of God in piloting the affairs of the state.

He said the projects so far executed by his administration and ongoing projects were products of answered prayers by God and the ceaseless intercessions of the saints in Akwa Ibom State.

Governor Emmanuel noted that despite the paucity of funds in the country, the deep recession the country is currently plunged into and the dramatic folding up of major businesses, Akwa Ibom State still enjoys divine assistance in convincing foreign investors to keep faith with the state.

He noted that only a positive spirit and can-do, such as the one exhibited by Caleb who was sent to spy the land of Canaan will take Akwa Ibom to an enviable height.

Several intercessory prayers were offered for the state including prayers for the prosperity of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, prayers for the actualization of Government’s development plans an dreams, prayers for the peace and stability in Akwa Ibom State and prayers against anti government and anti development forces in the state.
