AKSG Set To Debut Cargo Flights January 2017

Plans are underway by the Akwa Ibom State Government under Governor Udom Emmanuel for the debut of Cargo Flights service at the Ibom International Airport by January 2017 to generate revenue.
The State Governor gave the hint during the flag-off the second runway at the International Airport.
Findings revealed that the construction of the International terminal building will soon commence. It is to be equipped to a five star hotel status with all the necessary facilities to meet world best practices in view of full international flight operations.
The Governor Udom disclosed that talks are currently on-going with an international firm to handle the M.R.O maintenance, repair and overhaul, as the focus of the administration is to generate wealth by harnessing the available resource of Air, water and Land.
