By Umoh-Obong Kingsley
A regional newspaper based in Rivers State, Today’s News Now (TNN), has solicited to support the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, in his dakkada initiative.
The Edito-in-Chief of the paper, Mr. Ofonime Umanah, disclosed this during a courtesy call to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Media, Mr Uko Umoh, on Tuesday.
According to him, “the visit was to crave the synergy to work together in order to achieve better result, owing to the fact that journalism is about networking.
“We came to highlight the activities of the government of Akwa Ibom State and collaborate to promote the dakkada initiative of Governor Udom Emmanuel.”
Mr. Uko Umoh charged the newsmen on constructive criticism in their reportage, and to always be in support of the government by writing about rather than being against the Governor.
TNN, in the time past, had been opposing the government of Akwa Ibom State. It has its branches in Cross River and Bayelsa states.
